I’ve been asked to participate in a statewide group show for the Women of Achievement and Courage Celebrations. This event is a collaboration between the Urban Institute for Contemporary Arts and the Michigan Women’s Foundation. I’m a busy bee working on four large painting to submit for this show. More on this later.

Currently working on the art used for Opera Grand Rapids‘ 2008-09 season. This will probably not make the cut but reminded me of this week’s IF topic. Ever had a bad hair day?

My paintings have found another good home. Thanks to two fine ladies, Stacy and Brynne, who own the new clothing shop Muse Boutique. These ladies have it going on. Their store is awesome. I’m very afraid to try any clothes on for fear that I’ll need to sell something (like a kid*) to afford everything that I want to buy. I’m just glad they have graciously allowed me to hang a few of my paintings.

* Disclaimer: I really wouldn’t sell a child for clothing. Really.
