My paintings have found another good home. Thanks to two fine ladies, Stacy and Brynne, who own the new clothing shop Muse Boutique. These ladies have it going on. Their store is awesome. I’m very afraid to try any clothes on for fear that I’ll need to sell something (like a kid*) to afford everything that I want to buy. I’m just glad they have graciously allowed me to hang a few of my paintings.
* Disclaimer: I really wouldn’t sell a child for clothing. Really.

15 years of bliss

15 years ago we took Friday off from work. We took a little hike at Blandford Nature Center with Mike’s mom, my mom, dad and grandmother and were wed by Bruce from Fountain Street Church. It was a sunny warm day much like today. Afterwards, we had dinner with our families then met friends at the Reptile House for skull beer and cage dancing. OK, maybe I’m making up the cage dancing in my head. I can’t believe it has been 15 years. Happy Anniversary, Mike!

Rapid Growth just featured an article about Scott and Linda’s shop LaFontsee Galleries. Such nice publicity for their great gallery. IMO, the best in Grand Rapids. And the pictures! Brian Kelly, as always, well done.

Our teacher Theresa Gray showed us drawing samples at ox-bow today. Those feathers that you see here were drawn by Theresa. During our hikes she’d stop to pick up feathers along the trail. I’m really enjoying her class.

spending the week at Ox-Bow and loving it! Been meaning to do this for a very long time. India and I are both taking our own Art in the Meadow class. This morning I did a long hike to a pretty overlook and sketched all morning. India collected bugs and other nature things to create cool art stuff. Very fun!
